About me and this blog?

Hi there readers, if there are any :), well this is something totally new for me, having never blogged before. So this is day 1 of whereever this thing takes us and whatever it morphs itself into.

Firstly... what's with the title 'Fruits of your thoughts'?  It basically means what ever you think, is what you will bring forth in your own life. If you plant good seeds and look after them, you will bring forth good fruit... you get the jist.

So why the blog and what could I possibly want to dribble on about to people?

Well most days some random questions about life pop into my head, I sit there pondering it for a while waiting for a great revelation to come, and often times it'll cause me to go scouring through the internet looking for thoughts and opinions on the subject from others.  I have a yearning to understand myself and change those things about me that hold me back emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

I have had many people tell me I should consider becoming a counsellor or motivational speaker, and maybe it's because I do try and find wisdom and understanding of the things in life.... so I guess this is my way of putting myself out there and testing the waters.

In short, I want this blog to be a journey for us all, I know it sounds a bit 'new age & hippy' but it's purely about thinking about things on a deeper level, like what makes us tick; why do we react to situations and people they way we do; what is our purpose in life; but the main goal of this blog is to strive to find peace in our lives... and there is a no better place to start than within yourself by talking about the deeper issues.

I am a non-denomination Christian, that means I have a very strong faith in Jesus but am not specifically linked to any one church.  I find beauty and pearls of wisdom in all belief systems.  So whatever questions are thrown out there will be based on all of these pearls of wisdom.  Whether you are an athiest, Christian, Muslim, Hindu etc... it doesn't matter - all are welcome, we all share the same core values in life.

This will not be a bible-bashing blog, I will purely be using all the tools available to us to help us to learn and grow into happier, positive, more at peace people.

Thanks to those of you who dare to come on this journey with me.
